Thanks to our volunteers

11/21/2015

The museum will be open for another month or so but now seems like a good time to thank some of the people that volunteered to support the museum.
This spring a group of FFA students pulled weeds and raked leaves on the grounds and helped Gary Kaufman put up our donated weather station.
The Twin Falls Lowe's store provided us with some trees and shrubs and capable hands to plant and landscape. Special thanks to Stan and Victoria for helping this happen.
Abby Bitzenburg is working on digital displays for her senior class project as part of our SCHRAB grant agreement. Several other people have also been involved in this ongoing project  and thanks to Fred Millsap Sr., Fred Millsap Jr., Becky Lierman, Teresa Sept, Doug Lincoln, Ann Dennis, Jeff Lotz, and those of you with the Magic Valley camera club that came to take photos.
Gordon Hart repaired our blacksmith shop facade and provided insight regarding other necessary repairs, Dick Tucker is a staple for our tour groups wanting to know about the Union School, Jim Gentry was very considerate in giving a speech to the Oregon Trail School on short notice, George Huddleston and Myrna Andreason worked on the teeter totters, and many others donated time to help with daily activities.
Our board is all volunteer and many thanks to them for everything they do.
Steve Westphal, (and sons) custodians of Cush the cat, Doug Lincoln, Gary Kaufman, Nadine Koepnick, Teresa Sept, Mychel Matthews and Alex Kunkel.
I apologize to any volunteers I have neglected to mention here, but please know your efforts are appreciated.
Also, Mark Warren built and installed the window frames and screens for the basement and was very generous with his time and efforts.
