Due to circumstances beyond my control, the museum will be closed on Tuesday, November 29th. I hope this doesn't adversely affect anyone but please accept my apologies in advance. As far as I know at this point, the museum will open regular hours from Wednesday through Saturday.
Saturday November 12th members met at the museum to cast their ballots for board members. Teresa Sept and Alex Kunkel were both re-elected and Andrew Vawser filled a vacancy. Thanks to all who came to participate.
Saturday, November 12th is the annual members meeting at the museum. This is the opportunity for the members to vote on who will represent the Historical Society on the board. In order to vote, you must be a member in good standing for at least one year, and your dues must be current.
The board is elected by the voting members. Board members terms run three years on a rotating schedule. This year Teresa Sept (secretary) and Alex Kunkel (vice president) are the board members up for re-election. Andrew Vawser is also on the ballot. You may vote for any number of the candidates on this ballot to fill current vacancies.
The meeting begins at noon with the ballots being handed out to attending members who are eligible to vote. Your ballot will go in the ballot box and your name will be checked off the "voted" list.
The board decides which duties the elected candidates will hold as board members.
