Historical Society received notification that Clif Bar Family Foundation has awarded $1,000 for general support of the museum and the check should arrive shortly.
Marion Posey worked with Museum Volunteer Patti Hurley to date and categorize some of the numerous hats in our collection. Marion is 89 years young and we had a wonderful time with her. Patti and I are anxiously awaiting her next visit.
It looks as though we will be able to do a field trip in October. Still deciding where to go - Balanced rock or Twin Falls County Courthouse and surrounding buildings. Send in your comments.
Very happy to announce the Janice Seagraves Family Foundation has sent the Historical Society a check for $2,500 to help us pay for the digitization process on old local newspapers such as the Filer Record and Hollister Herald. Seagraves has been very supportive of the museum in the past by donating to the restoration of the metal building, the window restoration and other smaller projects. Thank you so much Seagraves Family Foundation!
Another piece of good news is that Clif Bar Foundation has again chosen to support the museum by donating $1,000. Their organization also donated in 2017 and we are so happy they again considered our request.
The 15th is our field trip to the Stricker Ranch and vicinity. There are still a few seats on the bus for those who call in to sign up. We leave the museum at 10 a.m. and return before 4. Give us a call and come along! It's free, but you must bring your own lunch and beverages.
