Field trip to Milner area
APRIL 14TH - THE BUS WILL LEAVE THE MUSEUM AT 10 AM TO TAKE US TO THE MILNER AREA. CALL AHEAD TO RESERVE A SEAT OR FOLLOW IN YOUR OWN VEHICLE.
Jim Gentry will talk to us about the relevance of the Snake River and how the canyon and waters are used. Brian Ohlmstead will take us across the dam to the north side and tell about the entire irrigation system.
Be sure to bring your own lunch and drinks and expect to return to the museum around 3 or 4 that afternoon.
March 20 is the proposed date for the Twin Falls Canal Company to open the irrigation headgates at Murtaugh Lake. We will take our own vehicles to the site. Commences around 10 AM. For more information call the museum at (208) 736-4675
